According to the source, early March Ukraine put in service a back-up electricity transmission line to resume exports.
At the same time, overhaul of the failed transformer is still in progress.
Ukrenergo is reported to be conducting the repairing works at its own expense.
As the agency had informed, in February Ukrenergo granted Vostokenergo the access to the transmission capacities of Burshtyn Energy Island allowing the company to export electricity up to 545 MW to Slovakia, Hungary and Romania in 2011.
The transmission capacity of Burshtyn Energy Island varies, depending on season, from 495 MW to 545 MW.
