The purpose of the trip was meeting with Indian companies Larsen & Toubro Limited (L & T) and V.D. Swami and CompanyPrivate Limited (VDS), during which the question of joint participation in tender for construction of an Indian HPP Panan in the State of North Sikkim. At the plant is planned to install four radial-axial turbine type "Francis" in diameter 2, 25 m with unit capacity of 75 MW and four spherical valves with diameter of 1.7 m and two butterfly valves - diameter of 3.4 m. In order to participate in the tender, which will be held April 15 OJSC “Turboatom” and L & T will prepare a joint bid. In autumn 2010 the plant was signed with the L & T and VDS participation agreement, which refers to the joint output of the power market in India.
In parallel, the representatives of OJSC “Turboatom” met with a number of energy firms in India and considered the possibility of future cooperation. In particular, meetings were held with companies Jaypee Group, NVPPL and Gogoal Hydro Power Pvt. Ltd. (Gogoal), with the participation of L & T, VDS.
With the company Jaypee Group “Turboatom” discussed joint participation in the tender for the production of nine turbines of 300 MW for hydropower plant under construction Lower Sian, who held this year. Jaypee Group carries out the construction of turnkey facilities for hydropower. Early works closely with this firm for the construction of HPP Theri, where there are four radial-axial turbines with capacity 255 MW, four spherical and four butterfly valves manufactured by OJSC “Turboatom”.
With firm NVPPL “Turboatom" held talks on possible cooperation in the production of turbines for thermal power plants with capacity of 500-800 MW.
Indian firm Gogoal - manufacturer of hydraulic turbine equipment ranging from 3 to 30 MW has expressed interest in working with “Turboatom” in engineering and manufacturing of these turbines.
In addition the delegation of the plant met with the Private Power Generating Company KSK Upper Subansiri Hydro Energy Private Limited, which plans to increase its capacity to 7,000 MW. During the meeting, the company was invited to participate in a number of projects to be implemented in the coming years, starting in 2011.
