The drilling of the last crossing “Shore - off-shore” has been completed on the Dzhubga-Lazarevskoye-Sochi gas pipeline

The unique bore hole with length of 1547 m was drilled with application of HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) method.
The Contractor of LLC “SGM” - a German company Drilltec has completed the installation of protective casing in the bore hole and now is performing the equipment demobilization.
Preparatory works for operating gas pipeline string pulling in into the bore hole are being performed. To do that the Pipe Laying Barge BIGFOOT 1 and support vessels have started from the port Constanta (Romania), which will perform works for operating gas pipeline string pull in through protective casing from the sea to the shore and will make the midline tie in by connection of the off-shore and shore gas pipeline sections.
During construction of the Dzhubga-Lazarevskoye-Sochi gas pipeline all environmental requirements have been strictly abided and necessary environmental protection measures have been performed. We would like to remind that LLC “STROYGAZMONTAZH” has become a prize winner in the contest “100 best companies of Russia. Ecology and environmental management.” in the nomination “Technologies of the year” for application of the HDD method during installation of the Dzhubga-Lazarevskoye-Sochi gas pipeline. The expert council acknowledged this project “the best implementation of available technologies for decrease of negative impact on the environment”.
