"Turboatom" tested and deposited under a shipment of the first runner to Nurek HPP

OJSC "Turboatom" (Ukraine) carried out the test of the runner No 1 diameter of 4.75 m of radial-axial hydro turbine for Nurek HPP (Tajikistan). In the presence of the customer's specialists of "Turboatom" spent balancing of the runner, geometry control, dye penetrated and ultrasonic testing of welds.

By the results of the work was signed act delivery - acceptance that all the controlled parameters are corresponded to the norms. Runner weighing 53 tons will be packed and sent to the type of car in Gostomel (Kiev region), and then by plane to Tajikistan.
According to Deputy Chief Engineer Nurek HPP N.A. Saidov, the customer satisfied with the work of "Turboatom" and in the future is going to continue joint cooperation.
It is planned to manufacture an additional six runners, the guide vanes, turbine shaft and the servo.
Contract to upgrade equipment Nurek HPP OJSC "Turboatom" and OAXK "Barki Tochik" (Tajikistan) signed in October 2009.
After upgrading the capacity of HPP will increase by 10 %, the efficiency will increase by 4 %, the service life of hydro turbines will increase to 30-40 years, as well as improved reliability, efficiency and environmental safety.
