Within the framework of Company HR Policy and the program of cooperation with MGTU, Shtokman Development AG became a partner of one of the conference sections — Offshore Oil and Gas. The representatives of the Company, who were the members of jury, were supposed to assess a large number of reports on actual problems of modern development of oil and gas business. Priority in the contest of the reports was given to such issues as simulations of a two-phase flow transport in a horizontal pipeline, simulations of stressed-deformed state of the rocks in the vicinity of Shtokman gas-condensate field, which confirms the high interest of the students in Shtokman project.
At a plenary meeting, dedicated to conference opening, Igor Tanygin, Deputy Director of Murmansk Branch of Shtokman Development AG, Head of Offshore, addressed students with a welcome speech. He emphasized the importance and significance of this event: “Student conferences are an opportunity for the students to implement their scientific potential, give answers to modern problems of science and practice as viewed by young researchers”.
Representatives of Shtokman Development AG assessed deservedly the scientific projects of the students and highlighted the most relevant topics for such large-scale and significant project as the development of Shtokman gas-condensate field. Following the results of the session, the students who presented the most informative reports, received certificates of merit and presents from SDAG Management.
