A Contract for retrofitting of TPS Ceracini with its total installed capacity of 200 MW was signed by JSC EMAlliance and Integro LTD (Greece) at the end of last year.
According to the Contract conditions, provided should be the spiral-type high-pressure heaters designed by JSC EMAlliance for Power Unit No. 8 at Ceracini TPS. In tenders, the EMAlliance’ experts proposed to replace the existing chamber-type high-pressure heaters, made by an oversea company, with HP spiral-type Heaters of Russian origin. Upon evaluation of bids submitted by the biggest companies from Czechia, Germany, France and Italy, the Customer has accepted the Russian Offer as the most favorable one.
It should be noted that the EMAlliance’ power engineering equipment was previously exported to Greece for projects as follows: Ceracini TPS (fuel-oil/gas-fired boiler P-56), Florina TPS (PN-600), Cardia TPS (PN-550), Agios-Dimitrios TPS (PN-550).
The Heater of PV-425 type is standard commercial equipment fabricated by KRASNY KOTELSHCHIK. According to expert opinion, the said High-Pressure Heater is designed to increase the efficiency of the Power Unit in general due to feed water heating by steam bled from the turbine HP cylinder.
At present, there are four HP Heaters in operation, made in Italy, for Power Unit No.8 at Ceracini TPS. Heater PV-425 to be supplied by KRASNY KOTELSHCHIK will replace one of them.
