Developed by specialists of TNK-BP and based on innovative technologies, TNK Pulsar 95 has excellent environmental characteristics and complies with the Euro-4 standard.
“A new fuel came to Saratov today, and I am sure we will start selling this fuel in other regions of company presence in the nearest future. Now, about 40% of drivers buying gasoline 95 prefer TNK Pulsar, which points to the fact that this new fuel is very popular among motorists. Pulsar 95 is a breakthrough on the fuel market of Saratov. I am sure that the new fuel will be appreciated and welcome by motorists,” said Maxim Andriasov, Leader, Performance Unit South-East, OJSC TNK-BP Management.
TNK Pulsar gasoline was tested at independent centers in Germany and Russia. Its first sales started on October 1, 2009 at 82 TNK service stations in Moscow and the Moscow Region. In 2010, TNK Pulsar appeared on the fuel markets of Saint Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Ryazan, Kaluga, and Tula. The company’s strategy implies that TNK Pulsar will be sold on all promising markets of the TNK brand with due regard to their specific features and priorities. Sales of the new fuel in large industrial regions and cities, such as Ural, Samara, and Nizhny Novgorod, will start in the nearest future.
“TNK-BP has decided to allocate over 1bln USD in refining assets in Russia” to produce high quality fuels meeting ecological standards and new technical specifications. As part of a thorough and dedicated implementation, TNK-BP will invest during 2011 over 7, 5 bln RUR (263 mln USD) just in the SNPZ development. By doing so, Saratov refinery will not only produce Euro-4 class fuel like TNK-Pulsar, but also Euro-5. The supply of high quality fuels in the region will be reinforced thanks to the increase of the refinery throughput by 0.5 million tones up to 7 million tones,” said Vladimir Meshkov, Director, OJSC TNK-BP Management Branch “TNK-BP Povolzhye” in the city of Saratov.
“TNK-BP is consistently implementing the program of reconstruction and modernization of its oil-refining assets, including the Saratov Oil Refinery. This oil refinery switched to production of Euro-4 gasoline and diesel fuel this year and started production of TNK Pulsar in May 2011. TNK-BP’s efforts for development of the Saratov Oil Refinery and transition to production of innovative products based on high technologies are highly appreciated,” said Sergey Lisovsky, Minister of Industry and Energy of the Saratov Region.
