"Turboatom" is developing welding production

The new welding equipment is designed for automatic electrode submerged arc welding and shielding gas ring and longitudinal inner and outer seams of cylindrical parts of steam turbines.
The unit consists of two main parts: a stationary rotary columns and welding machine. Minimum diameter of the welding on the RM-16 is - 700 mm, Max - 2300 mm, maximum length of welds - 950 mm, maximum length of welded parts in - 500 mm.
The introduction of the RM-16 will automate the welding process and improve product quality. Also, the welding will decrease by 20-30 %, which in turn will enable to reduce the cycle of manufacturing equipment.
