Gennady Binko Appointed CEO Of INTER RAO — Management of Electric Power Plants

INTER RAO — Management of Electric Power Plants is a fully owned subsidiary of INTER RAO UES established in February 2011 to manage Russian generating assets operated by INTER RAO UES. As the CEO, Gennady Binko will be responsible for implementation of Generating Division development strategy.
Prior to joining INTER RAO UES, Gennady Binko was a Deputy CEO of Holding MRSK.
In his comment to this appointment, INTER RAO CEO Boris KOVALCHUK said, "Generating Division is up to implementing an ambitious strategy to develop Russian generating assets of Inter RAO UES Group, and reinforcement of management team will help us go steady towards our goals."

Gennady Binko was born in Moscow on February 2, 1958. In 1982, he graduated from the Experimental Nuclear Physics faculty of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, and in 2004, he finished the All-Russian State Distance Learning Institute of Finance and Economics with major in Business Management. Binko is a candidate of physico-mathematical sciences.
Between 2001 and 2005, he was an Associate Director of Severnaya Energeticheskaya Upravlyayushchaya Kompania responsible for management of Arkhenergo.
Between 2005 and 2009, he was a Deputy CEO and a member of Executive Team of OGK-6.
Between 2009 and 2011, he was a Deputy CEO and a member of Executive Team of Holding MRSK.
Since 2008, he is a director of RAO ES Vostoka.
Since 2009, he is the Chairman of the Board of UESK.
Since 2009, he is a member of Board of Trustees of the RZhS Foundation.
Since June 2010, he is a Deputy Chairman of the Board of MRSK Yuga, a Director of MRSK Severnogo Kavkaza and Tyumenenergo, and the Chairman of NIIEE and MRSK Volgi.
