"Gazprom dobycha Yamburg" Initiates Gas Production from Valanginian deposit in the Zapolyarnoye Field

The operation of a new gas condensate unit is provided by the comprehensive gas and condensate treatment facility, over 60 wells and around 50 km of intrafield pipelines. The project capacity of UKPG-2V is around 6,5 bcm of gas of crude gas and 1,3 mln tons of gas condensate per year.
In the future it is planned to commission one more Neocomian unit in the ZOGCF. With bringing these units to the project capacity the annual output of Gazprom dobycha Yamburg will grow by more than 15 bcm of gas and 3 mln tons of gas condensate.
The Zapolyarnoye oil, gas and condensate field is located in southern part of the Tazovsky region of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The field is one of the largest in Russia, its reserves account for 3, 2 trillion cubic meters of gas. In 2004 the Cenomanian deposits of the Zapolyarnoye field were brought to projected capacity – 100 billion cubic meters of gas a year.
