The Gazprom headquarters hosted a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Andrey Nelidov, Head of the Republic of Karelia.
The meeting participants considered gas supply and gasification development in the Republic.
In particular, the parties discussed the progress with the four gas laterals being constructed by Gazprom.
The parties noted that the Company would consider an opportunity for constructing the 160-kilometer Lodeynoye Pole (Leningrad Oblast) – Olonets – Pitkyaranta and 140-kilometer Priozersk (Leningrad Oblast) – Lakhdenpokhya – Sortavala gas laterals.
The Agreement of Cooperation between Gazprom and the Karelian Government was singed in 2005, the Accord on Gasification – in 2006.
Between 2007 and 2010 Gazprom earmarked more than RUB 490 million for the gasification of the Republic. In 2011 the Company is planning to allocate RUB 180 million for construction of four inter-settlement gas pipelines.
