The forum was initiated by OJSC Nizhny Novgorod Engineering Company "Atomenergoproekt" (NIAEP), which is the general designer and general contractor for building the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant. The forum held a conference at which Victor Shvetsov spoke on "Steam turbines of "Turboatom" for Nuclear Power Plants." In his speech he drew attention to the latest engineering developments of enterprise in nuclear power generation, in particular, it was a low-speed steam-turbine capacity of 1200 MW and 1500 rev/min (for VVER). Presented three models of turbine condensers for Nuclear Power Plants: a titanium tube systems (manufactured for unit No 3 of Rostov NPP), with stainless steel pipe systems, the basement of execution (under manufacturing for unit No 1 Balakovo) and side-mount (manufactured for unit No 1 of the Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant.) Victor Shvetsov also presented advanced development of "Turboatom" - a turbine with capacity 1250 MW for a new type of reactor VVR TOI of Nuclear Power Plants, which will be equipped with blades of the last fifth stage length 1,650 mm.
The exhibition program of the forum was represented stand of OJSC "Turboatom" with information on developments in nuclear turbine construction, which was popular with the participants.
The forum of OJSC "NIAEP" positioned OJSC "Turboatom" as its strategic partner. On the one hand it is a good estimate of the work done now in the commissioning of the 1st and the 2nd unit of Rostov NPP, as well as designing and supplying equipment for the third unit of the plant, which is at this point. On the other hand - speaks about the future involvement of "Turboatom" in the construction of Unit 4 Nuclear Power Plant, which supposed installation of a new steam turbine.
The purpose of the event - exchange of experience in the effective lifecycle management (UZHTS) during the design, construction, operation and decommissioning of complex engineering projects. In particular the idea of a pass-through software, which would describe all stages of the Nuclear Power Plant construction from design to commissioning. Further "Turboatom" intends to use advanced technology to work with the general designer of the Nuclear Power Plant with the implementation of documentation in 3D.
Forum participants were more than 350 nuclear power experts from 135 organizations of 15 foreign countries. They are representatives of the United States, China, France, Britain, Sweden, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine, etc.
