On Aksu TPP was implemented item reconstruction of unit, including the modernization of the turbine, boiler, electrostatic precipitator, ISG (integrated switchgear), electrical equipment. OJSC “Turboatom" supplied turbine of the new generation K-325-23, 5 installed instead of spent their resources K-300-240-2.
After upgrading capacity of unit will increase by 25 MW. Reconstruction will also allow to reduce the cost of electricity generation and increase the reliability of the equipment. In addition, it improve environmental rate of the plant.
This is the fourth unit of Aksu TPP, which was started with the equipment made by OJSC "Turboatom". Earlier, in August 2003 it was commissioned a unit No 4 (with K-310-23, 5), in November 2006 - the unit No 3 in September 2008 - No 1 (with turbines K-325-23 and 5). In May 2011 completed shipment of equipment for the 6-th unit, the plant started erection works.
