The Pochinki — Gryazovets trunk gas pipeline was constructed to enhance the reliability and flexibility of operation of the unified gas supply system in the Northwestern and Central districts.
LLC “SGM” was in charge of the construction of 10 sections with the total length of over 550 km, pipe diameter of 1420 mm, pressure of 7.4 MPa and the gas pipeline capacity of 36 bln. m3 per year.
Moreover, the gas compressor station Ivanovskaya was built as a part of the Pochinki — Gryazovets trunk gas pipeline. The construction of the compressor station Vyaznikovskaya is still in progress and it is to be completed in 2012.
In the course of works the gas pipeline was pulled-in under the Volga river. The length of the main pipeline string laid under the Volga is 1099 m and of the auxiliary one is 1072 m.
In addition, a gas measuring station, junction points of compressor stations Yaroslavskaya and Vyaznikovskaya, 10 gas pressure reduction spools, high-voltage power lines and electrochemical protection facilities were completed and put into operation.
The Pochinki — Gryazovets trunk gas pipeline will be entirely commissioned by the end of 2011.
