ERU of 56.9 thousand units were received during the operation of 400 MW CCGT of Shaturskaya GRES in 2010. 400MW CCGT of Shaturskaya GRES construction project was registered as the Project of joint implementation in 2010 and was the first Russian project to be approved by the UNO to apply mechanisms of the Kyoto Protocol.
Emission Reduction Units were purchased by E.ON Carbon Sourcing.
ERU volume received during operation of Shaturskaya GRES in 2011 will undergo the audit procedure subject to the procedure set in Q1 of 2012.
E.ON Russia also filed 400 MW CCGT Yaivinskaya GRES and two 400 MW CCGT Surgutskaya GRES-2 construction projects for registration as Projects of joint implementation. High-merit power plants with efficiency of 56-57% during work of which emissions are reduced by 3.3 mln tons by the end of 2012, were put into operation in Q3 of 2011.
