In 2011 Ignalina NPP Reduced Its Expenditure for Energy Resources for 28 Percent

Января 31, 2012

In 2011 State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP) saved 24 million litas due to the fact that it used less energy resources than it was scheduled.

Mostly, 24 million litas (or 28 percent) energy resources cost savings have been achieved due to the technical and organizational measures of Energy Resources Saving Programme at INPP which enabled to reduce both electricity and gas consumption - each by 15 percent, heat consumption - by 30 percent and water consumption - by more than 50 percent.

It was scheduled to spend 87 million litas for energy resources funding in 2011, of which 63 million litas were spent (for gas it was planned 6,5 but spent 6 million litas, for heat - planned 43 but spent 27 million litas, for electricity - planned 37 but spent 29 million litas, for water - planned 0,37 but spent 0,15 million litas).

In 2011, INPP energy resources consumption was funded by the EU Ignalina Programme (about 80 percent) and by the enterprise's available own funds.

INPP decommissioning program has been financed from the EU Funds for Ignalina NPP decommissioning, Ignalina International Decommissioning Support Fund, SE Ignalina NPP National Decommissioning Fund and Special Ignalina Management Programme.
