Delegation of OJSC "Turboatom" visited Slovakia

Representatives of the plant conducted a series of talks with the Slovak power companies, visited HPP Gabcikovo and Zhilina, and made a presentation of the company.

The delegation was led by Deputy General Director for Marketing Alexander Burakov. In the Gabcikovo hydroelectric plant participated in a joint presentation with the Slovakian company "STM Power" and Ukrainian - "Dnepr-Spetsgidromontazh." "Turboatom" presented its production capacity, the experience of upgrading the 95 turbines of HPP of Ukraine, Russia, CIS and foreign countries and participate in the construction industry.

The plant is located on the river Danube, near the town of Gabcikovo, its installed capacity is 720 MW. Commissioning took place in 1992. "Turboatom" actively participated in the construction of hydropower plants, the plant completed a technical project Kaplan turbine with a Kaplan-type runner diameter 9.3 m and in 1980 conducted model tests of equipment. In 1980, for all eight turbines plant "Turboatom" manufactured and supplied the impeller blades, blades of wicket gate (WG), the upper and lower rings WG. Equipment of Gabcikovo HPP has worked for 20 years, and in the coming years it is planned to upgrade.

During the visit, the delegation visited another station - HPP Zhilina, located near the eponymous town on the river Vah (left tributary of the Danube). In the HPS found two types of turbines Kaplan unit capacity of 36 MW. The plant has been in operation since 1998.

According to Chief Designer on hydro turbines Alexander Linnik, which became part of the delegation, Slovaks expressed interest in the presentation of OJSC "Turboatom", and the parties intend to continue negotiations.
