Belorusneft: Prospects for Cooperation with Myanmar's Oil Industry

The parties have discussed prospects for cooperation during the visit to Gomel of a representative delegation of energy, mineral resources, mining services of THU Group and of the State oil and gas company — Myanmar Ministry of Energy.
During the meeting eventual areas of cooperation have been discussed. Among others, the organization in Myanmar with the help of professional of 2D and 3D field seismic surveys, data processing and interpretation, drilling, rig workover, design and implementation in this country of hydraulic and hydrochloric acid reservoir fracturing. It is expected that in the coming months the parties will considered the prospects on establishing a joint venture for these areas.
In parallel, specialists from Belorusneft will study the possibility for geologic exploration of prospective onshore oil-bearing blocks, for geological and computer simulation of field development in Myanmar, as well as for the introduction here of our technologies for oil recovery factor improvement.
The parties have also discussed possible deliveries to the south-east Asian republic of vibration sources for seismic signals, equipment for rig workover, and mobile rigs produced by Seismotekhnika JSC.
