February 11, 2012, with the participation of experts of «Turboatom», the first launch of the turbine at idle, February 16, the unit was connected to the grid for the development of power.
There are starting-up and adjustment works on the plant. After reaching the rated power of the turbine will be commissioned.
At the 8th block Kurakhovskaya TPP during 2011 «Turboatom» spent upgrading the steam turbine K-200-130-a 200 MW output of the Leningrad Metal Plant (Russia) with a full replacement of the cylinders of high, medium and low pressure. This volume of works on reconstruction of thermal power plants the company has fulfilled the first time.
As a result, the reconstruction of the power unit reaches 225 MW.
To date, the plant is producing equipment for the modernization of the block No 6 of Kurakhovskaya TPP, which will be executed the same amount of work. The main technological innovation of this order - an exception in the cylinder Bauman stage low pressure turbine blades and installation of a new generation of professionally designed «Turboatom» in all cylinders to allow maximum use of energy in the steam turbine.
In 2009 the plant has completed delivery of the equipment for the reconstruction of block No 7 Kurakhovskaya TPP, where the replacement of low-pressure cylinder, body parts, diaphragms and rotor. The block was commissioned in 2011.
