TNK-BP Acquires Fuelling Company at Koltsovo International Airport in Ekaterinburg

TNK-BP announces that it has closed a deal to acquire the Koltsovo fuel filling company – the operator of the jet fuel storage and filling services at the Ekaterinburg International Airport.

TNK-BP has purchased 100% of LLC “TZK-Aktiv” from Koltsovo Airport for $70 million and 100% of CJSC “Fuel Filling Company Koltsovo” for $30 mln.

“TNK-BP is one of Russia’s largest producers of jet fuel and acquiring a fuelling complex at a major regional airport is part of our strategy to offer our clients a broader range of higher quality services”, said Dmitry Ustinov, TNK-BP Vice President, Business Marketing and New Business Development. We remain committed to meeting the airlines’ needs for high quality jet fuel and are preparing a comprehensive programme of modernization of the jet fuel supply system at Koltsovo Airport.

The fuelling complex modernization programme includes upgrading equipment, improving the efficiency of the fuel storage and filling system, and applying up-to-date solutions in the sphere of industrial and environmental safety. According to preliminary estimates, over $20 mln will be invested in the modernization programme.
