In QI, E.ON Russia Increased Power Sales by 12%

E.ON Russia's wholesale market power sales in QI 2012 made 18,364 billion kWh, which is by 12% more than in QI 2011 (16,335 billion kWh).

Power generation in January-March also grew by 12% as compared to the similar period of the last year and amounted to 17,792 billion kWh.

The growth of performance is due to operation of the Company's new generating facilities that were commissioned under the construction and modernization investment program as well as the high degree of power plants' readiness for power generation (availability factor), which made 95,26% in QI.

In Quarter I, E.ON Russia's capacity utilization factor made 78,8%.

E.ON Russia's thermal power sales in QI 2012 made 70 thousand Giga Calories, which is 3% less than a year before. Thermal power sales went down due to a warmer weather as compared to the previous year, as well as due to a more economic consumption of resources after installation of metering devices in the area of activities of Thermal supply network of Berezovskaya GRES.
