Glavgosekspertiza approved the project of construction of Berezovskaya GRES power unit No. 3

According to the conclusion design documentation fully complies with the technical requirements as well as with applicable law and regulatory and technical documents. Glavgosekspertiza conclusion authorizes to start works without any limitations.
 
At the moment general construction works are being actively performed at Berezovskaya GRES, installation works have been started in the turbine room, equipment and materials are being supplied.
 
So far, over 1,200 local employees are involved on site of power unit No. 3 of the plant. Required infrastructure is created for comfortable accommodation of 1,205 non-locals for the purpose of further ramp-up of employees’ number for performance of special installation works.
 
"Project of construction of power unit No. 3 of Berezovskaya GRES is a priority for the company. Works are performed in full accordance with specified deadlines", Timur Lipatov, Deputy Director General for Capital Construction of E.ON Russia said.
 
"Critical point in project implementation schedule is defined by the installation terms of the boiler unit. Thus, the Company Enka Insaat ve Sanayi A.S., which we successfully cooperated with before during construction of 400 MW CCGT at Yaivinskaya GRES is involved to perform these works for mitigation of risks connected with the  facility putting into operation", T. Lipatov added.
 
800 MW power unit No. 3 of Berezovskaya GRES is the final project of compulsory investment program of E.ON Russia JSC. After commissioning of the power unit scheduled for the beginning of 2015 installed capacity of the company will be over 11.1 GW which is 30% more than before commencement of investment program implementation.
