May 2012, Omsk Refinery commissioned a cat cracked gasoline hydrotreater. This enabled the refinery in the first nine months of 2012 to increase the production of gasoline meeting Class 4 and 5 of the Technical Motor Fuel Quality Regulation, more than twentyfold compared with the same period last year, up to 1.3 million tons.
Gazprom Neft-Omsk Refinery is one of the most advanced refineries in Russia and one of the largest in the world.
In 2011, Omsk Refinery refined 19.95 million tons of oil. The conversion ratio is 84.05%, this figure being one of the best in the industry.
Before 2020, Gazprom Neft is expecting to invest over 115 billion rubles into Omsk Refinery. The investment program is primarily focused on bettering the environmental properties of motor fuels, improving the conversion ratio, and expanding the product range.
