The document valid until March 31, 2013, envisages tariff reduction for JSC Telasi consumers by 3.54 lari/kWh (including VAT) for clients with volume of consumption up to 301 kWh per month.
The document notes that the changes of current consumer tariff rates for JSC Telasi are temporary and aimed at developing coordinated tariff policy in regard of JSC Telasi for the period until March 31, 2013. The parties have reached an agreement on signing a long-term memorandum of cooperation development until 2025, which is to be signed during the first quarter of 2013.
“Long-term tariff settlement may be equally efficient for JSC Telasi and INTER RAO UES Group, as well as for Georgian customers, including public”, said Boris KOVALCHUK. “Under long-term tariff regulation JSC Telasi would be able to plan investments and operations with maximum precision and high efficiency, and consumers would have an opportunity to foresee and plan their electricity costs. We welcome the willingness of the Government of Georgia to address the issues of national electric power industry promptly and practically. We hope that our mutual cooperation will be efficient”, he added.
