In 2012 Ignalina NPP Reduced Its Expenditure for Energy Resources

Января 24, 2013

In 2012 State Enterprise Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant (INPP) saved 12 million litas due to the fact that it used less energy resources than it was scheduled.

Mostly, 12 million litas energy resources cost savings have been achieved due to the technical and organizational measures of Energy Resources Saving Programme at INPP which enabled to reduce electricity consumption – by 17 percent, heat consumption – by 12 percent, gas and water consumption – by 28 and by 11 percent respectively in comparison with 2011.

It was scheduled to spend 75 million litas for energy resources funding in 2012, of which 63 million litas were spent (for heat - planned 38 but spent 32 million litas, for electricity - planned 30 but spent 26 million litas, for gas it was planned 6, 5 but spent 5 million litas, for water - planned 0, 19 but spent 0, 13 million litas).

In 2012, INPP energy resources consumption was funded by the EU Ignalina Programme (about 96 percent), by Ignalina Decommissioning Support Fund and by the enterprise's available own funds.
