In 2010 Federal Grid Company managed to save 41.6 billion rubles as a result of its procurement activities

Federal Grid Company summarized the results of its procurement activities in 2010. All together about 2.5 thousand procurement activities in the total amount of about 400 billion rubles were carried out over the reporting period, out of which 72.5 % were carried out through open tenders exceeding the results of 2009 by 14 %.

BP to Sell Colorado Gas Plant

BP America Production Company announced that it has agreed to sell its 93 per cent interest in the Wattenberg, Colorado natural gas processing plant to a wholly-owned subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation for $575.5 million in cash, subject to closing adjustments.

Gazprom to continue cooperating with Ukraine in key areas

The Board of Directors took note of the information relevant to the Russian-Ukrainian gas relationships and the prospects for cooperation with Ukraine. It was highlighted that Ukraine was a strategic partner of Gazprom. It transits nearly 70 per cent of Russian gas to Europe – 94.6 billion cubic meters in 2010.

Generator of hydraulic unit No. 1 being installed at Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP

As part of the second phase of renovation activities at Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP works are being carried out to assemble the main generator for hydraulic unit No. 1, which has been produced by Power Machines ahead of schedule and shipped in December 2010. As of today, the generator stator body is assembled, the drive-in of wedges and stator core assembly is also completed.

The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Novosibirsk region (Novosibirsk FAS Russia) found that “Sibir’Energo” OJSC violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” and fined the company 200 million Rubles under Article 14.31 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations.
