Nuclear plant operators typically store this material in pools of water that cool the fuel and shield the radioactivity. Water in a spent fuel pool is continuously cooled to remove heat produced by spent fuel assemblies.

Gazprom Neft purchases 5.15% shares in NIS

Gazprom Neft announces that it has finalised its offer made in January to the minority shareholders of Serbian oil company NIS. 8,4 million NIS shares were submitted for purchase, amounting to 5.15% of the company's authorised capital. The maximum number of NIS shares that could be submitted for the buy-out was 19.12% or 31,18 million of shares with voting rights.

Taganrog Boiler Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik started shipping the equipment for Urengoiskaya TPS (a part of Power Generating Company OGK-1) within the framework of the Contract with JSC TECHNOPROMEXPORT. Currently over 500 tons of the equipment have been shipped to the customer.
