Repsol acquires Exploration Blocks in Alaska's prolific North Slope

Repsol E&P USA Inc. is pleased to announce an exploration joint venture with 70 & 148 LLC (“70”) and GMT Exploration LLC (“GMT”) on the North Slope of Alaska. Terms of the join t venture involve Repsol agreeing to a broad-reaching exploration and development program on leasehold held by 70 and GMT, with Repsol and 70 collaborating on all aspects of the program, Repsol's working interest after this transaction will be 70%.

2,8 million tons of Azerbaijani oil transported via BTC in February

In February 2011, 2,8 million tons of Azerbaijani oil was transported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export pipeline. 5,7 million tons of oil were transported through this pipeline during January-February 2011.

Nord Stream Completes Phase II Financing

Financing for the Nord Stream project is secured: The company together with its shareholders in the consortium, OAO Gazprom, E.ON Ruhrgas AG, BASF SE/Wintershall Holding GmbH, N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie, and GDF SUEZ S.A. announced the successful signing of Phase II financing of the pipeline project. The project financing for Phase II amounts to 2.5 billion euros.

Branch of JSC "IDGC North-West" “Vologdaenergo” put into operation the overhead transmission line 10 kV Ust-Alekseevo – Yakutino after reconstruction. During the implementing of the investment project on the transmission line (12 km) were installed new wooden poles (impregnated), mounted self-supporting insulated conductor.

From 1 January 2011 OAO “Belkamneft”, a subsidiary enterprise of OAO NK “RussNeft”, started purchasing electricity at wholesale market for electricity and power. Entry to wholesale market will allow the enterprise to reduce the costs significantly on purchasing electricity and power and to receive additional benefits.
