Gazprom Neft selects contractor for drilling in Iraq

Following a tender, Gazprom Neft has chosen Schlumberger to drill the first wells in the Badra oil deposit development project in Iraq. Upon signing the contract will last for three-years. Gazprom Neft, as the project operator, obtained approval to sign an agreement with Schlumberger from Iraq’s state-owned North Oil Company (NOC), part of the Iraqi Oil Ministry.

Gazprom Global LNG and Sovcomflot signed a long-term lease agreement today (for the period of no less than 15 years) for two new ice class LNG carriers with cargo capacity of some 170 thousand cubic meters as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2011, in the presence of Sergey Naryshkin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office and Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee.

Corporation «GazEnergoStroy» Group of Companies and the largest China-based contractor of engineering projects «Norinco International Cooperation Ltd» have signed an agreement of cooperation for gas turbine power plant construction «Ogorodny proezd–Novomoskovskaya» in Moscow (anticipated electric output of 600 MW and heat output of 750 GCal/hour).
