TATNEFT Continues Developing the Project of Romashkinskoye Field Facilities Automation

The third block of Romashkinskoye field Berezovskaya area of NGDU Almetyevneft, OAO TATNEF, was selected as an experimental test site, where a 3-D geological and hydrodynamic model has been built and full scale automation has been carried out: "Lufkin” controllers have been installed at all 106 wells equipped with downhole sucker rod pumping units and flowmeters "Vzlet PPD”, pressure sensors as well as controllers for data transmission have been mounted at 104 injectors.

Enel: agreement reached for the sale of Maritza stake

Enel S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with ContourGlobal LP for the sale of the entire share capital of the Netherlands-registered companies Maritza East III Power Holding BV and Maritza O&M Holding Netherland BV, which own, respectively, 73% of the share capital of the Bulgarian company Maritza East 3 AD, which in turn is the owner of a lignite-fired power station with an installed capacity of 908 MW, and 73% of the share capital of the Bulgarian company Enel Operations Bulgaria AD, which is responsible for operating and maintaining the Maritza plant.

BP Announces Expansion of Biofuels Business in Brazil

BP announced that it has agreed to acquire majority control of the Brazilian ethanol and sugar producer Companhia Nacional de Açúcar e Álcool (CNAA). When CNAA’s assets are fully developed, this is expected to increase BP’s overall Brazilian production capacity to around 1.4 billion litres of ethanol equivalent per year (nine million barrels).

In February, in response to a demand by ARR referring to the shareholders’ agreement between BP and TNK, the High Court of Justice in London issued an injunction halting completion of these deals.

Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP- Shell 50%) announced today a significant new oil discovery in the coastal waters of the south-east Asian sultanate. The discovery, named Geronggong, is situated in the 3rd Offshore Acreage Area, approximately 100km offshore where water depth is approximately 1000m, the deepest water depth in which BSP has discovered hydrocarbons in Bruneian acreage.

COTES completed expert appraisal of design for the Astaninskaya CHP-3 plant construction

Gosekspertiza (State Expert Review Board) of the Republic of Kazakhstan has chosen COTES to be an expert for the technological parts of the project for the construction of the first stage of the Astaninskaya CHP-3 plant. By now, COTES has completed project expert appraisal and issued the relevant conclusion.
