In the Public Information Centre Director of Kursk NPP Nikolay Sorokin has held a press-conference dedicated to the results of the nuclear power plant activity in 2010 and objectives for 2011. Nikolay Sorokin told the journalists about development of the country’s nuclear power industry in the departing year and specifics of Kursk NPP activity in this year.

Bitola TPP (Macedonia) power unit modernized by Power Machines is put into operation

Power Machines has successfully modernized and commissioned the first of three power units of Bitola, Macedonian TPP. Macedonian company ELEM (JSC Macedonian Power Plants) has signed the contract for manufacture and delivery of power equipment required for modernization of three 225 MW TPP power units.

TATNEFT Presented a Cryogenic Installation for Deep Conversion of Associated Petroleum Gas

Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, participated in the presentation of the cryogenic installation for deep conversion of dry stripped gas, which was commissioned by OAO TATNEFT on December 29.

"Turboatom" shipped shaft for the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP

Experts of OJSC "Turboatom" (Ukraine) gave to the customer and shipped the shaft for hydroturbine of Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP (Russia). Shaft is a welded-forged construction its weight is 115.5 tons, a length 8 meters and a diameter about 2 m, consisting of three thick-walled parts.

E.ON sells gas network in Italy

E.ON has agreed to sell E.ON Rete, the company operating the gas distribution network for E.ON Italia, to a consortium consisting of Italian investment fund F2i SGR S.p.A. and AXA Private Equity.

Contract awarded for low-pressure production on Kristin

Statoil has given Aker Solutions the assignment to build and install a compressor module on the Kristin platform in the Norwegian Sea. The module will help to improve recovery from the Kristin and Tyrihans fields.

E.ON plans to enlarge Waldeck 2 pumped-storage hydroelectric station

E.ON intends to considerably enlarge the capacity of Waldeck pumped-storage hydroelectric station on Lake Eder in the federal state of Hesse in central Germany. E.ON will begin building a new 300 megawatt pumped-storage plant next to the existing Waldeck 2 facility in 2012.

Rosneft Opens First Filling Station in Krasnoyarsk

Rosneft’s sales subsidiary RN-Krasnoyarsknefteproduct commissioned a filling station in Achinsk, which has become the company’s first filling station in the Krasnoyarsk region. This event marked Rosneft’s entry to the promising retail market of one of Russia’s largest federal districts.
